ACL Reconstruction Rehab
ACL rehabilitation at Adapt is designed around evidence-based loading principles and high training frequency. Members train three to five times per week with physiotherapists available on the floor, and VALD assessments track strength and symmetry against return-to-sport benchmarks.
l How does Adapt approach acl reconstruction rehab?
We follow your surgeon's post-op protocol and layer in gym-based training from week two or three. Early on it's quad activation and ROM work. By month three you're doing proper strength work. By month six we're testing you against objective benchmarks using VALD ForceDecks. Return-to-sport decisions are based on numbers, not time.
What is the typical program timeline?
9–12 months (protocol-dependent). Programs are reviewed and updated at each clinical consultation.
Best for
- Post-surgical ACL reconstruction patients cleared for gym work
- Athletes targeting return-to-sport with objective benchmarks
- Anyone who's stalled in traditional weekly physio
Not for
- Pre-surgical prehab only — though we can refer you to the right place
- Patients who can't attend the gym for supervised sessions

Frequently Asked Questions
Most people start at two to four weeks post-op, depending on surgeon clearance and wound healing. We coordinate with your surgeon from day one and follow the post-operative protocol.
Our programs are designed around three to five sessions per week. Evidence-based loading principles support higher training frequency for musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and our membership model is built around making that accessible.
ForceDecks measure your jump mechanics, bilateral strength symmetry, and peak force production. We use these results to track your limb symmetry index (LSI) and decide when you're ready to progress — including return to sport.
