The Adapt team of physiotherapists and strength coaches

Every plan at Adapt is written by people you can look up. Our registered physiotherapists assess and review, our strength coaches run your sessions on the gym floor, and because they work side by side in North Sydney, a change in one part of your plan reaches the rest of the team without you having to pass it on.

One program, shared by the people who run it

When your physiotherapist writes a program, the coach who runs your session works from the same plan in the Adapt app, and anything that needs a clinical look goes straight back to your physiotherapist. If you train with a coach and a niggle appears, they can ask a physiotherapist to assess it.

Can I choose which physiotherapist I see?

Yes. When you book a physio appointment online you can pick the practitioner, or you can ask the team to hold a time with someone in particular. Availability changes through the week, so if your first choice is full the team can offer the next open time with that person.

Questions about the team

Book an appointment

How do I check a physiotherapist's registration?

Search their name on the Ahpra public register before you book. Each Adapt physiotherapist profile also links to that register, so you can confirm they are listed with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

Can I change physiotherapist after I have started?

Yes. Tell the team who you would like to see next, and they will book you with that physiotherapist when they have availability. Your notes stay at Adapt, so the next person can pick up the plan from there.

Are the coaches qualified?

James Bowen is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Teal Kilbride is a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Each profile lists their qualifications, and they run personal training, small group classes and the supervised sessions in gym-based physiotherapy.

Do coaches give clinical advice?

No. Coaches run training from the written program and pass anything that needs assessment or treatment to a physiotherapist on the Adapt team. If a niggle appears in a session, they can ask a physiotherapist to look at it rather than changing the clinical plan themselves.

How do I contact a team member directly?

Send a message through the form on this page and name the person you would like to speak with, or call 0417 214 945 or email headoffice@adapthealth.io so they can pass your message on.

Who writes my program in the Adapt app?

Your physiotherapist writes the program for rehab, and your coach writes it for training. It is updated after reviews so sessions start from the current plan. Gym-based physiotherapy uses the same app record for both.
