An assessment that carries into your training

Your physiotherapist finds out what is going on, treats it where that helps, and sets your first exercises in the Adapt app before you leave. Follow-ups move those exercises on, in the clinic or on the strength gym floor next door, so the work you do between visits stays part of the plan.

How physio works at Adapt

What happens after you book

Four things to know before your first physio visit at Adapt.

  1. Wear

Clothes that let your physiotherapist see and move the area that is bothering you.

  2. Bring

Any scans or reports, a referral letter if you have one, and your health fund card to claim.

  3. Your assessment

Usually 45 to 60 minutes of questions, movement testing and treatment where it helps.

  4. Follow-ups

Usually 30 to 45 minutes, moving your exercises on in the clinic or on the gym floor.

Why people book a physio

Start with what brought you here. Each link explains how we approach it.

Where your appointment happens

You are assessed and treated in a private room, then your physiotherapist can take you onto the gym floor to show you how your exercises should feel under load before you do them on your own.

Should I book with Sam or John?

Both see the full range of injuries we treat, so choose the time that suits you. If you have seen one of them before, book with the same physiotherapist so your plan stays with the person who wrote it. If you are unsure, tell us what is going on and we will suggest one.

Questions about booking a physio

See live times

How soon can I get a physio appointment?

The booking form shows every free time for the weeks ahead, and it changes as people book and move appointments. If nothing suits, call us and we will help you find a time.

Will I be treated at my first appointment?

Where it helps, yes. Your first appointment covers questions, movement testing and hands-on treatment or exercise, so you leave with something to do rather than only a diagnosis.

Can I book my follow-ups in advance?

Yes. Your physiotherapist will suggest when to come back, and you can book the next few appointments online or before you leave the clinic.

If I train at Adapt, will my physio talk to my coach?

With your agreement, yes. Your physiotherapist can share your exercises and anything to avoid for now with your coach, so your sessions on the gym floor follow the same plan.

What if I am not sure physio is the right appointment?

Send us a message or call before you book. Our physios and coaches plan programs together, so we can tell you whether a physio appointment, a gym-based physio assessment or training is the better start.
